Who We Are

Ryan Tse

Robin Tse

Born and raised in Washington D.C., Robin Tse studied filmmaking at American University. Learning under 2-time Oscar winner Russell Williams (Dances with Wolves and Glory) and 2-time Emmy winner and Oscar-nominee Chris Palmer (Dolphins), he discovered his passion for film. Teaming up with his brother, Ryan Tse, they established Dragonfish Films, a film company that would produce film festival selected “Yellow Light” and critically praised “Tainted”. Tse looks to bring fervor, emotion, and excitement to the world of cinema.

Elliott Hui

Born in New York, Elliott Hui grew up in Northern Virginia.  He has a background in acting and coming from a household with classically trained vocalist mother, he was led to a lifelong hobby of collecting music and DJing.  He has DJ’d for 1,000 plus patron “Divine” club events while at school in Charlottesville, VA and then continued on with the seminal Open Door DC crew in the Greater DC area during the early to mid 2000s, with numerous regular gigs at venues across the area including the world-renowned Eighteenth Street Lounge.  Currently he spends his days at a Federal government social services office performing policy analyst duties, and sits up at night planning the means by which Dragonfish Films will be able to tell its stories to the world.

Samnang Phoeuk

Samnang Phoeuk was born from two hard working parents who escaped to America during the Khmer Rogue take over of Cambodia in 1981.  Raised up in a humble and God fearing family, he spent part of his adult life as a professional automotive technician with several ASEs, automotive industry certifications.  Sparked through community video projects with local high school students and local church youth groups, Sam is now actively pursuing a professional career in the film industry in addition to his continued involvement with community projects.  With his training in Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, and Apple Soundtrack Pro, Sam gained and continues to build his experience utilizing video editing software such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.  Now, after having worked on the set of several public broadcast program airing on the Washington DC public channel, DCTV, he is ready to dive into the exciting world of movie making.

Johnson Hsu

Born in Taiwan, Johnson Hsu has grown up in what is locally known as Northern Virginia since he was 4yrs old. He spent part of his adult life working as a professional automotive technician and now turned civil engineer designing with AutoCAD daily. With the love for film & art since childhood he has now committed his gifts and talents into helping Dragonfish Films create films that will get the audience thinking, laughing, and jumping out of their seats!

Michael Huang

Mike Huang, the administrator of the website, is a longtime friend of the Dragonfish Films crew. Though he is currently living on the other coast (the one that has real earthquakes), he still loves being part of the exciting projects that are happening at Dragonfish. Mike is also the co-founder and senior editor of one of the web’s better anime blogs, Anime Diet, and has used the technical experience as well as the battle scars gained through the years to help Dragonfish with all things technical. One day he may even want to make a movie like the rest of the crew, though 90% of the time, he knows better.
